Bone Marrow Aspirate Stem Cell Injections

This type of treatment is used to repair and/or regenerate different types of tissues (tendons, ligaments, cartilage, etc.) This is accomplished by obtaining stem cells from bone marrow aspiration and concentrating these important cells for re-injection into injured areas.

Conditions that are treated are: sports injuries, arthritis, ligament injuries and tendon injuries (rotator cuff, tennis elbow, Achilles tendon, patellar tendon, quadriceps tendon, plantar fascia and biceps tendon).
Stem cells have the ability to differentiate into different cell types. Stem cells are described as being totipotent, pluripotent, multipotent, or unipotent cells, depending on how many distinctive types of cells the stem cell can become.

To develop a bone marrow aspirate preparation, bone marrow must first be drawn from a patient. The stem cells are separated from other blood cells and their concentration is increased during a process called centrifugation.

This is then injected into the injured area and a growth and repair process is initiated.
